May 29: CMCs DUE TODAY | Regional Comms | Staff Welcomes | Staff Departures | Summer Staff Spots

Regional Communications Moving Forward

During this summer, we will begin shifting some communication efforts across the region! Here’s what it will look like:
– Weekly “Gold Nuggets” email from Jim Stuck himself
– Monthly-ish updates on the blog (could also include priority announcements whenever necessary)
– GroupMe text available for ALL of the region!

Golden Nuggets will have your weekly tasks in mind, upcoming due dates and opportunities, etc. The Blog will shift to acting as resource central, holding documents or links or calendars or anything like that that might be helpful to you. And the GroupMe is straight up fun.

Please be sure to read through your Golden Nuggets and Blog update emails thoroughly whenever you receive them!

New Staff Welcomes!

We’ve had some new hires in the last two months! WOO!

Welcome, Courtney Stroeher! Courtney has joined our Remote Admin crew and is partnering with Palouse, LC Valley, Deer Park, Sheridan, and the Region! Courtney lives in Spokane with her family, and if you haven’t met her in person yet, you’ll be seeing her around a lot more!

Welcome, Sean Masters! Sean has joined the all-star team in North Idaho. Having served as a leader already, Sean is stepping up to help run and build ministry in Post Falls. We are pumped to have him!!

Staff Farewells

We have said a heartfelt farewell to a couple staff this spring and we will see three more ride off into the retirement sunset this summer…

Sarah Herron in Tri-Cities has been accepted into grad school! We are excited for her next adventure.

Laney Islas in Tri-Cities has transitioned to focusing on getting marries and transitioning into a new community and season of life.

Tim Painter in Central Montana is hanging up his hat this June after 8 years in Mountain West YL. Tim, we are so thankful for your service and love for kids. Ministry in small rural towns is not for the faint of heart, and you have steadily leaned on the Lord and led well.

Keith Pryor in Cody, WY is ending his YL career with multiple camp trips this summer FOR THE SAKE OF KIDS! Keith, we are proud to be in the same region as you. Your humility, kindness, and passion for the Gospel is so evident in all you do. Thank you for representing a long obedience in the same direction, all for the sake of kids knowing Jesus.

Katie Blincoe (who seems to live all over this region!) will be entering in to her newest season of non-stop FUN and ADVENTURE after a long and storied career in Young Life. Katie, thank you for being the life of the party. For doing whatever it took to get kids to club and camp, all over the world (shoutout to Romania camp!). You have surrendered and listened to the Spirit throughout your career, and that is an inspiration to us all.

WE LOVE ALL Y’ALL!

Summer Staff Spots

There is still Summer Staff spots available at WFR Creekside and Canyon! These spots are crucial in making rides happen and helping camp operate at it’s fullest extent.

We still need between 8 and 11 individuals for EACH SESSION (Creekside 1-3 and Canyon). WHO can you encourage to join Summer Staff?
