This week, you (and your staff, volunteers, committee, etc.) should be receiving, if you have not already, an email from YL that will look like this:

Work Crew Recommendation Process – Volunteers
Have volunteers who would like to submit Work Crew recommendations for your area but are unable to due to not having access to in YLConnect?
No fear! Share the form below for them to answer the recommendation questions.
The process: volunteers will fill out the google form and a staff member + supervisor for your area will be sent the results to be submitted to YLC. After the recommendation is submitted in YLC, the applicant will be sent a a pre-filled application to their email listed on the form.

Work Crew Recommendation Process – Staff
Work crew recommendations are now submitted through YLConnect.

Please use the above new process to submit all work crew requests. All recommendations submitted through the old system will have to be redone in YLC.

Adding Additional Camp Spots
For trips wanting to add/drop/switch weeks for camp trips please see the checklist below:
- The Camp trip is ‘published’ on YLCC
- The number of current volunteer leaders (that are available to go to camp) is approximately a 1:7 ratio for HS, 1:5 ratio for Wyldlife.
- Conversation with your supervisor about the request (with the Regional office cc’d) with an awareness of three history on IR, R1, R2 and actual numbers.
When you request to add spots via your R1 contract the Divisional office will reach out to the camping responsible party to confirm that the statements above are true. If you have already requested to add spots via your IR contract there is no need to make an additional request as we already have your request noted.
Leader Guides
The new Leader Guide is nearly finished! For those who have seen the Committee Handbook, we’re doing the same kind of thing for leaders! Our goal is to have these printed and ready for distribution at our Regional Leader Weekends.

A digital copy will be made readily available when finished. Additional printed and bound copies can be ordered at a later date, but will cost more to ship them to your area.
